The Wedding of Miranda and Devon
Saturday, May 18th 2024 in Portland, Maine, starting at 3 o'clock.
Join us for an intimate dinner and ceremony among friends and family followed by a rousing reception aboard a harbor cruise ship.
The day begins at Luke’s Lobster, located off the Portland Pier, in the heart of the Old Port. Luke’s provides the perfect backdrop for this joyous occasion. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of the ocean and the warm glow of a spring afternoon, we’ll exchange vows in the company of our closest friends and family. This intimate gathering promises to be a cherished moment in our love story. With a carefully curated food menu, including Portland’s best-voted lobster roll, you will enjoy a dining experience that showcases the region’s culinary prowess.
A note on wardrobe: We are suggesting a semi-formal or cocktail attire. We encourage a splash of bright, cheerful hues to complement our maritime backdrop.
Following the ceremony and dinner, we invite you to share in the joy of our newly minted union aboard the Bay Mist harbor ship. The ship is outfitted for merriment, equipped with a dance floor, a full bar, multiple balconies, bathrooms, and even an elevator!
Our reception will have an expanded guest list, live music helmed by Maine’s finest live musicians and DJs, and plenty of toasts to life and love.
To balance out the open bar, we’ll be serving some light fare and desserts to keep you fueled for an evening of revelry. The ship is enclosed and heated, so no need to dress for the ocean elements.

Portland is characterized by its historical cobblestone streets and brick buildings. The city’s pedestrian-friendly infrastructure contributes to a pleasant walking experience, allowing visitors to explore its vibrant neighborhoods with ease.
However, the same cannot be said for the driving experience in Portland. The city’s traffic patterns and limited parking options can pose challenges for motorists, making driving less convenient compared to the accessible and enjoyable walking environment. While the city encourages and promotes a pedestrian-friendly lifestyle, navigating Portland by car may require patience. We encourage you to seek parking options through your lodging accommodations and to walk or take ride shares to the wedding day venues. We recommend wearing comfortable and supportive shoes throughout the weekend.
There are several hotels located just a stone’s throw away from Luke’s Lobster and Casco Bay Terminals. Portland is very walkable and any of the accommodations on the peninsula will be suitable, but here are a few suggestions that are marked on the map:
Portland Jetport (PWM) is the airport located close to downtown. A flight into PWM is likely to be a connecting one. Once you land, you can easily take a 15-minute ride share or taxi to the city center. Unless you are hoping to venture far outside the city bounds, a rental car is not necessary.
If you fly into Boston Logan (BOS), you have several options to make the journey north up to Portland. If you rent a car, you can take a 2-hour drive up the interstate. Driving time can vary depending on traffic, which will be heaviest within the Greater Boston area. For those who’d like to stay out of the driver’s seat, we highly recommend the Amtrak Downeaster which connects Boston’s North Station with Portland in a little under two hours. Have a cocktail on board and enjoy the ride! Alternatively, Concord Coach Lines also runs a bus originating from the airport or Boston’s South Station directly into Portland.
We’re finally getting married! We’re looking forward to sharing the day with you all. If you have any questions or just want to say hello, we’d love to hear from you.
To help with our planning, please RSVP no later than April 13th.
We are truly grateful for your love and support. As we embark on this exciting journey together, your presence is the greatest gift we could ask for. If you’re considering an additional gesture, we have registered at Zola.
We appreciate your best wishes and advice as we begin our life as husband and wife!
We are so excited for you out-of-towners to experience Maine’s coastal charm. For you locals, we hope our wedding inspires you to explore our beautiful shared home in a way you have not before. We have created a travel guide for you of our favorite spots in the state. Enjoy!
This is the area where the wedding celebrations will be taking place. In Portland’s Old Port, you’ll find cobblestone streets, red-bricked buildings, charming boutiques, trendy restaurants, and fishing piers. It’s a quaint historic district that overlooks the Casco Bay.
Where our bride and groom call home! Grab a cortado at our favorite coffee shop, Smalls (28 Brackett Street), and stroll around our neighborhood. Hungry? Grab a delicious breakfast sandwich at Ohno Cafe (87 Brackett Street). Miranda and Devon met every Wednesday to talk wedding planning over Ohno sandwiches - the #1 is our favorite!
Portland is known for its historical lighthouses, each with its own charm
